ABOUT RUFFHOUSE DAY CARE

At Ruffhouse Playcare we offer our guests a completely open concept, an un-crowded, clean and homey daycare experience.

• Our facility is 3000 sq. ft. inside and features a Hound’s Lounge that includes large screen TV, leather furniture and feathery soft, puppy pillows. The indoor play area has tons of room for soccer, catch, tug-o-war or wrestling with a friend.
• Our guests also enjoy a 3000 sq. ft. fully fenced back yard. The outdoors includes a mini agility course and a large wooden partially covered deck for those lazy afternoons. In summer we feature an indestructible sprinkler and a wading pool for a great cool down on hot days.
• We offer Gentle Touch Grooming in our “From Ruff to Ready” Salon and Spa.
• Pet first aid certification
• A trained pet nutritionist on staff to assist you with your dog's individual
  needs.

Ruffhouse Playcare is a family run business that offers our guests the fresh air of the outdoors and freedom to roam and play indoors.

Scott and I (Michele) ran a pet food and accessory business for a number of years and had the luxury of having our dogs work with us. While visiting our customers, we noticed a lot of them began asking if we would consider daycaring their dogs.

We created Ruffhouse Playcare only after looking for a quality daycare where we could, occasionally, leave our furry family members. What we found was a lot of good people working at mostly overcrowded very smelly indoor facilities. Some of these kennel/daycares offered a discounted or free dog wash for overnight stays. It became apparent why when we saw yellow and brown dogs, formally white, locked in dirty runs! We wanted more for our boys.

Since our human children were grown and gone our dogs had become our surrogate children and we felt the same as any parent looking for a daycare! Out of concern for our own animals, as well as for many of our friends and former pet customers, Ruffhouse was born!
